What we need is resilience. And, fortunately, resilience is something we can carefully and intentionally build. Especially when it comes to our nervous system.
A resilient nervous system shifts more easily and smoothly from states of activation to states of restoration. And vice versa. This feels not only important, but essential when it comes to weathering the tragedies and uncertainty we encounter on a daily basis in today’s world.
In part one of this series, we focus on Soma or the body. We will dive into studying various nervous system states and learn somatic-based practices to help build nervous system resilience.
